1. What can I do before playing AFMP to make sure AFMP will run with maximum performance?
Make sure your computer meets the minimum specifications and is up to date.
Platform: PC, with the following minimum specifications:
o Pentium® III CPU, 600 MHz (1.2 GHz recommended)
o Windows® 98/2000/ME/XP
o 128 MB RAM (256 MB recommended)
o Video card with 32 MB of RAM and Hardware TnL (GeForce® 2 or equivalent)
o PC-compatible Mouse
o 800 MB of free disk space
o DirectX® 9.0c or newer
Ensure that your operating system is up to date. To do this, log in as an administrator (for XP or NT systems) and go to http://www.windowsupdate.com. Follow the instructions there.
Make sure your video card drivers are current. Go to the support section for your computer manufacturer's website or the graphics card support site and download the latest drivers for your video card. You can identify your graphics card by going to: My Computer - Properties - Hardware - Device Manager - Display Adapter - Properties.
Install the latest version of DirectX from Microsoft. To do this, go to http://www.microsoft.com/windows/directx and download the latest version. (You can see what version is installed on your computer by running the DXDIAG.EXE file, which is almost always in your Windows directory, or one of its subdirectories.)
Make sure your copy of AFMP is up to date. Patches are available in the Downloads section of the AFMP web site.

7. The graphics have bands when in full screen display. How do I fix this?
Quit the game. In the directory where the game is installed (C:\Program Files\AFMP by default, or whatever directory you chose when installing the game) open the file app.ini with a text editor such as Microsoft Notepad. (Usually you can just double click the app.ini file and Windows will automatically open it with an appropriate editor - if Windows asks which program you want to use to view the file, pick Notepad from the list.) Change the Color Depth line to read "ColorDepth = 32".

8. The graphics have bands when in windowed display. How do I fix this?
Quit the game. In the directory where the game is installed (C:\Program Files\AFMP by default, or whatever directory you chose when installing the game) open the file app.ini with a text editor. 9. Is there a Mac version, or is one planned?
Currently, A Force More Powerful is only available for the PC Windows platform. Our research indicated this would allow us to reach the broadest audience possible on the budget we had available. We are considering creating a Mac version in the future. If you would be interested in purchasing a Mac version, please let us know by sending an email to afmp@yorkzim.com, with "Mac version" in the subject line. Thanks!
